Located near the intersection of Bullis Road and Two Rod Road (Route 358) in the Town of Marilla. Handicapped accessible. Parking lot available. Drop box available.

Public Access Computers: 8 computers, including 2 laptops, networked. Microsoft Office Applications and Internet Access. Printing from the computer: B&W 10 cents per page, color 25 cents per page.  "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

Copy machine available, copies 15 cents each for letter size.

A Meeting Room is available for Library Programs and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.  Meeting Room Application and Rules of Use


Friends of the Marilla Free Library

The Friends of Marilla Free Library is an active group coordinating and promoting community activities at the library. They hold a book sale as an annual event in September.  The Friends raise money to support the library and children's programs.  The Friends of Marilla Free Library is always looking for new members. Please consider being a Friend of the Library!

Upcoming Events



Friends of the Marilla Free Library meeting will be Tuesday, June 12 at 7:00 pm. New members welcome.


Stuffed Animal Sleepover! - Tuesday, June 26th at 6:00 pm and Wednesday, June 27th at 11:30 am for ages 3 to 8.  Come to the library with your stuffed animal pal for a special stroytime.  We'll read stories, make crafts and tuck your stuffed friend in for the night.  Come back to the library to pick up your pal the next morning! We'll have a breakfast snack and hear about the adventures our stuffed friends had at the library!  Registration is required.


Join the Summer Reading Program at the Marilla Free Library.  Reading Logs can be picked up at the library beginning June 23rd.  Children keep track of the minutes they read or are read to.  Earn prizes every week.  


July and August

Registration is required for all summer programs.

Story Hour with Ms. Shannon - for ages 3 to 5 years old. Mondays at 10:30 am, begins July 9th through August 13th.  Come listen to stories, play games, make a craft and have fun.  Registration is Required.


Summer Fun Club - Tuesdays at 2:00 pm on July 24th & 31st and August 7th Hear stories, play games, make crafts and discover surprise activities!  For ages 6-12.  Registration is Required.


Rock Yourself Into Puffy Paint! - Tuesday, July 10th at 2:00 pm. Combine your love of art and music with puffy paint! Listen to music and express yourself with paint! You will be able to make pictures and play games using puffy paint, get the chance to write your own songs, and even create a permanent piece of art for the library!  For children ages 6-10.  Space is limited. Registration is Required.


Go on an unforgettable adventure to the other side of the world, with the marsupials of Australia and the exotic wildlife of Southern Asia. Buffalo Animal Adventures will be bringing diverse wildlife from Australia and Asia.  For all ages on Wednesday, July 11th at 1:00 pm. Registration is required.


Makerspace Family Night - Thursday, July 12th at 6:00 pm.  Families can tinker with gadgets and gizmos, like the Sphero, Ozobots and BeeBot to name a few.  For ages 3 and up, fun for the whole family!  Registration is required.


The Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens Society will be presenting Build a Terrarium on Tuesday, July 17th at 2:00 pm.  Create your own miniature greenhouses with plants from the Botanical Gardens…the possibilities are endless.  For children ages 7 and up.  Space is limited.  Registration is required.


Lego Club - Thursday, July 19th and August 16th at 6:00 pm.  For ages 5 and up.  We will make cool creations and you may even find your masterpiece on display in the library.  Registration is required.


Libraries Rock with Paul Antonio Magic & Variety Act featuring thrilling magic, juggling, unicycling and fun for the whole family.  For all ages, on Wednesday, July 25th at 1:00 pm.  Registration is required.


Buffalo & Brandy ‚ÄčLibraries Rock Program will feature high energy interactive music along with magic and an emphasis on reading.  For all ages on Wednesday, August 1st at 1:00 pm.  Registration is required.


Rocking with Pete the Cat - Thursday, August 9th at 6:30 pm for ages 3 to 6.  Join us for stories, songs and games with everyone’s favorite character, Pete the Cat!  Registration is required.


Teen Ticket to Read, fill out an entry ticket each time you check out books, audio books and magazines.  For ages 13 to 17.

Teen Summer Reading Bingo, fill in a bingo card for a chance to win prizes throughout the summer.  For ages 13 to 17.

Book Club - for adults - Sweet Salt Air by Barbara Delinsky will be discussed - Tuesday, January 23 at 2 pm



Monday, February 19th the library will be closed all day for Presidents Day.


Take Your Child to the Library Day! - Saturday, February 3 stop by the library anytime for crafts, coloring and a scavenger hunt. 


If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and Friends - Monday, February 26 at 10:30 am.  For ages 3-6.            If You Give a Mouse a Cookie...what happens next?  Find out when we explore the world of Laura Numeroff!  Children will make and take home play dough, decorate a Styrofoam cupcake, and do other crafts!  We will also listen to stories and play games involving the characters from Numeroff's books.  Registration is Required.


Book Club - for adults - The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton will be discussed - Tuesday, February 27 at 2 pm

Indoor Kids' Winter Global Games - Saturday, March 3 at 11:00 am.  For ages 8 to 12.  

Do you have what it takes to go for the gold?  Winter weather got you feeling a bit stir crazy?  Don't miss this chance to complete with your friends and peers in the indoor library winter games -- hockey, curling, biathalon, and even figure skating have been modified for indoor wintertime fun!  Participants will be challenged to use science and engineering skills to build the fastest mini bobsled.  A brief history of the Olympic games will be discussed.  Registration is Required.

Easter Eggstravaganza - Time to decorate Easter eggs and cookies!  Free program open to children ages 5 to 12.  Registration is required.



Enter our Take 5 Gift Card Raffle.  To celebrate Library Awareness Month we have a Barnes and Noble Gift Card to give away! You qualify for a raffle ticket for every 5 items you check out during the month.  You can enter more than once, but you must check out at least 5 items during each visit.  Bring your receipt to the desk to receive your entry tickets.  The winner will be selected in the beginning of May.

On Wednesday May 9th our hours will be 1 - 6 pm due to Library Staff Development Day.  Our Staff will be gaining valuable training, information, and resources to better serve you, our library patrons.

Fundraiser for the Marilla Free Library - Wednesday May 9th and 10th from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Kodiak Jacks Bar, Grill & Grove located at 3481 Two Rod Rd, East Aurora, NY 14052  

Kodiak Jacks will donate 15% of all sales when you bring this flyer and eat in or take out.  Also, enter to win a $25.00 Kodiak Jacks gift certificate.

Library Discard Sale - The library will be having a library discard sale on May 5 through May 26.  Please do not bring items for this event, it is a sale of items withdrawn from the library system only.
